This work is structured as an A-Z, where two drawings represent each letter. Each word is lifted blind from a dictionary and similarly, each colour by blind selection using coloured pencils in a bag. The project had various false dawns, before finding its final format. A big part of this was wrestling with how best to manage its relation to colour and size. Again the dialogical exchange opened up fresh approaches to drawing, best characterised in the reduction process of physically stripping imagery back, which seemed to drive the exchanges in these drawings. 2012-13, Mixed Drawing Media on torn Saunders Papers, individual drawings 19cm square, complete panels 95 cm h x 50 cm w.
